Windows XP Service Pack 3 has been officially released, ahead of its public availability release schedule on April 29, 2008. Windows XP users can now used the direct download links to download Windows XP SP3 setup installer.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 will soon be released. The general public will be able to download the final version on April 29 and on June 10 Microsoft will roll out via automatic updates.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 Release Candidate has been updated to Release Candidate 2 Refresh (XP SP3 RC2 Refresh), as announced in TechNet forum. Chris Keroack from Windows Serviceability Team said there are no substantial differences between this beta release (build 5508) and XP SP3 RC2 (build 3311).

Windows XP Service Pack 3 Release Candidate 2 has been released for free download on Microsoft Download Center for public testing. The Windows XP SP3 RC 2 has a build version that is different slightly from the previously leaked XP SP3 RC2 update package, which has the version number of 3300.
