Microsoft Photosynth 2.0.1403.11

Microsoft has officially released its 3D models creator called Photosynth. With the digital images uploaded, Photosynth will analyze each and every photo for similarities. This application will use the analyzed data to build a three-dimensional point cloud of a photographed object. Pattern recognition components compare portions of images to create points, which are then compared to convert the image into a 3-D model.

i2p 0.6.3

i2p is a Java application which builds up an anonymous network from hundreds of routers, similarly to the Freenet and Tor projects. Data is encrypted en relayed through several other i2p routers, to maintain anonymity.

There are a lot of services that are integrated into the i2p network. These include IRC, web browsing, email, bittorrent, gnutella and instant messaging.  All of these programs work anonymously via the i2p network infrastructure. There are no official connections from i2p to the ‘normal’ internet, however, unofficial ‘outproxies’ do exist and can connect to regular websites.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 Released

Microsoft released a second test version of Internet Explorer 8 (IE8), delivering a feature-complete upgrade to the world’s most widely used Web browser. IE8 comes with new features to enhance privacy, ease-of-use, and security.

Microsoft first released its beta 1 version in March, but that was aimed at letting Web developers take a first look at the new browser. This latest version is aimed at a broader consumer audience.
