OfficeTab v1.21

OfficeTab is a free add-on that provides tab feature support for Microsoft Office programs. Currently when you open two Word documents, they will appear in two separate instances and you need to click on the taskbar to toggle between them. With the new tab feature provided by OfficeTab, documents can be toggled easily via tabs within the same window.

Upon completion of OfficeTab installation, OfficeTab Setting Center will be launched automatically and you need to make sure tab feature is enabled for Excel, Word and PowerPoint. There are few options that you can configured the tab setting based on your personal preference like enable shortcut key to switch between tabs, set tab layout to auto size/size to fit/fixed, set the width of the tab, set tab appearance and color, set tab position to above/below/right/left workspace and many more. Once they are completed, you can now open Word or Excel or PowerPoint and you will notice the tab bar will appear for each opened documents.

Microsoft IE6 to IE8 Upgrade with Donations

Microsoft Browser for the Better program works with every copy of Internet Explorer 8 that is downloaded from the site, and they will donate 8 meals to the Feeding America charity. Microsoft has now added a new form of incentive to the program, stating that they will offer double the amount of donated meals for every time somebody upgrades from IE6 to IE8.

The initial amount of meals that was to be donated was 8 ($1.15 as the reported equivalent), so that means the charity will get 16 free meals for every time a person upgrades. This certainly is an offer than everybody can benefit from. Feeding America will get free donations, and Microsoft will be rid of the hassle of dealing with much older software versions, whilst increasing their Internet Explorer 8 market share. This is also great for web developers.
